My New Birds

Okay, so now with death of Shrek, Gracie wanted some birds, and sure sounds like a great idea! lol

So I was able to find a nice size cage on freecycle and then my friend gave me her 2 parakeets. Kind of nice the way all of this fell together.

R.I.P Shrek

Well, last night I went to go and give Shrek his nightime frozen water bottle and I found him laying on the bottom of his tank on his back, and he had passed away. Not sure what happened, he was alive in the morning and ate some worms the night before. Poor ole Shrek. Such a cute little guy. Well at least he is now with is mate Donkey.

Catching up on drama

Okay, so we know the drama that somebody in my building doesn't like my Halloween decorations. Well, see that's the problem. You shouldn't have said that too me because where I had just my little ole Gomez, now I have a bat, and scarecrows out and i'll just keep adding!!!

So over the weekend I ran into the president of the association and the vice president and they both told me i've done nothing wrong and to go ahead and decorate all I want!!!!! They said to ignore the note, which I've done already! lol TO have fun and go with it! I do feel better that I did see them so I know i'm okay. So, that's all the drama!!!!!

SOOOOO Much Drama!!!

Okay, so as we all know I just moved into my new place 6 months ago and I LOVE to decorate my balcony! Well since i've put up Gomez the zombie I guess i've caused a bit of a stir with the oldies!!! I came home yesterday for lunch and found a note that read:

How do you think the building would be if we decorated our decks like you do! GET RID OF THE STUFF! Building Tenant - Thank you.

Well, to answer the first quesetion how would I think the bldg would be if everyone decorated like me? I think it would look FRIGGEN AWESOME!!!!!!! As far as getting rid of the stuff, um afraid not! I'm not breaking any condo rules or causing problems! GO TO HELL!!!!

Well this is what my balcony looks like. Kind of a crappy picture you can see in the right hand corner my Gomez. How do you like my ghost in the bedroom window? I'll have to take a picture of the balcony during the day, it's so hard to see him. I do have a strobe light on him, but in the pic you can't even tell! lol

Anyway, if they think this is too much, just wait till the weekend when I go shopping! They haven't seen anything yet! lmao!

Have you hugged a Nurse Today?

Have you hugged a nurse today? Seriously, does anyone realize what they do for people? Do you realize what they do for your friends and family. Now, not because a few of my bestest friends are nurses, not to mention names, Tonjia and Necia BUT they do the jobs that people like I can't do.

My aunt is in the hospital, she is very sick. Friday night her nurse was in the room when I was there, and cleaning her up and getting her comfy. Here I stood there and could barely look at my aunt with all the tubes, the blood just everything, and the nurse came in and was so ever gently like it was no big deal. All weekend my aunt was blessed with nurses that have been with her almost all summer. They come in and take her hand and just talk with her. We feel better knowing when we leave they are in good hands.

Have you ever actually thanked a nurse before? I'm sorry the doctors don't do crap. It's the nurses that do the dirty work. While we were there we brought in cookies for them. Last time, we gave gift cards to the nurses. Just a simple thank you.

Nurses should have a recognized holiday for all they do for people. They are like god's angels helping not only the sick but the family.

My mind is on the nursing profession, doing something not everyone can do. I would never be able to walk in the shoes of a nurse. So, thank you to all the nurses who can do the work, there are people and families like mine who truly do appreciate all you do for us!!!

Fish Disease

Well, the last few days i've been having problems with my goldfish as far as the tank has been really cloudy. Which I don't understand why cause I have a filter, I do weekly spot cleans and I test the water levels about 1 a week or 2x a week. Depending on my mood. Anyway, I even went and bought a new filter cause I thought that was the problem. So yesterday I'm going to put in the new filter and look at my fish and this is what I see....

Now mind you, this is not my fish, but that scared the hell out of me! Look how nasty it looks! Then to have 2 of them looking like that! EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

So I call the petstore and they tell me they have pop eye disease...http://www.fishdeals.com/fish_diseases/pop_eye/ if you want to check it out. So basically I went back to the petstore to get the antibiotic to put into the tank, I have them in a 'hospital tank" and i'll clean out the big tank, get it all sterile again, let the filter run for a bit with the meds and then i'll put them back in it. For now they are in a small tank with the meds, and hopefully it'll work.

Worst case scenerio, they will die, or could be left blind! We'll wait and see! Anyway, that's what is going on now! Always something!

Halloween Hell

So, I spent last week putting up my Halloween Lights. Lets say i have about 20 strands and then the nice spider swag going across the railing. So I was going to move Gomez out to the balcony, but i turned on the lights first. Oh how it glowed orange, so cool! Then, it ended in about 30 secs! Um, yeah, I guess you shouldn't plug in 20 strands of lights into 1 outlet all attached to each other!

So now i have to figure out which one blew the fuse and re-route the cords, which will be a pita cause i tie-wrapped them to the railing so they didn't move all over the place! arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh don't you think somebody should have mentioned that i shouldnt' connect them all?? lmao! i told the guys at work, "electricians" um, you should have asked me how i was connecting them before i went through all that work!

Anyway, that's this weekend's project, figuring out which one blew, and then i'll put Gomez out there!!!! Maybe even buy him a friend!!! woohooo!!!!

New and Exciting

Well, I said i'm not a good blogger and you can see i'm not!!! So, i've been busy working on getting ready for Halloween!!!! I just love GOMEZ!!!! Is he not awesome!!! He'll go out on my balcony soon! Just need to get my strobe light and something to tie him down!!!! Then there is my new centerpiece for my kitchen table. Isn't it just awesome!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!

Bad Blogger

I suck at blogging! LOL i truly do! So hard to keep up with everyone! Well I was in Boston for the last 3 days of work, so that took time away from playing on the net! So the good news is I came home and ALL my animals were alive!!! I know I was only gone 3 days but I still worried!!!

So today I will head to the petstore and get my crickets and everyone should be happy! I still want to get another newt!!!! I just now hate to get another one especially if it's sick or agressive and it will hurt the one I have. I just am ready to move on to another new thing! lol I so need a life!!! LOL

Oh, so today I come back from being gone and I open my desk and I find a 1/2 eaten cereal bar I left in my desk! Um, guess who ate it??? A FRIGGEN MOUSE!!!!! That is so damn nasty! I MOUSE actually got into my desk drawer, ate through the wrapper and ate 1/2 the cereal bar! Completely grossed out, had a bunch of mouse shit all over the drawer! YUCK! SO that was my exciting day! Always me this happens too! In the 5 years i've worked here for 5 years and NEVER had a mouse eat anything in my drawer! Absolutely nasty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Almost a fatal catastrophe

So this weekend, i'm laying around reading a book, and i happened to glance over at my newt tank, and i see bubbles. lots of bubbles soap bubbles, now the last time i checked i did not give shrek soap to take a bubble bath. So i'm not sure if i had to much de-cholorination solution in the ice-cubes i dropped into the water or water. Anyway, poor shrek was on the rock panicking not knowing where to go, thank god i was up and seen this or he would have died! so i grabbed him out of the tank, put him in a different tank and cleaned out the other tank and now everything is okay! but man, i was panicked there for a little while! so that was my exciting weekend. i was actually thinking of calling the store where i bought him from and see if he has any more left, and maybe i'd buy another one so he has a friend. i just hate that he's all alone. but we'll see, i really don't need to spend any more money on these damn things! lol but they are so cute!!!! lol

Happy Saturday

I'm sooooooooooo glad the weekend is finally here! I got up early this morning cleaned, vaccumed, dusted. Just getting a lot accomplished already! Went and bought all the crickets today! 75 crickets! That's a hell of a lot of crickets! Everyone ate and should be stuffed and well off until next week now!!!

Shrek is still alive and kicking! Im glad about that. I'm going to go and test all the water in all the tanks and see what their levels are and make sure everyone is okay. Tomorrow i'll do a 1/2 clean on all the tanks just grab a lot of the poop out more than anything.

Other than that, i'm just going to spend the rest of the weekend reading!!!!!!

Wow another day of blogging

amazing, it's like what 2 days of blogging! must be an all time first for me! lmao! So as of today everyone is a live and hopping! Shrek was eating more worms so I feel good about that! Seems like he might be out of the woods now. We'll see, not getting my hopes up. I have one new frog that seems to be spazzing out in the tank, hopefully she will calm down. Other than that, now i'm dipping my hands into the world of myspace. we'll see how that works out. i'm not a good blogger, so i'm not sure i'll be a good myspacer! lol i can't even keep up with facebook! why can't people just email me! it would make it so much easier! lol

It's a boy, girl, girl, girl!

Well I was hoping for more males this time, but we've added 4 more frogs to the collection! This I believe is Cody, Lilly and Ollie and the top one is Katie! lol Gracie picks out the names not me! So, we now have 10 frogs in our collection, 1 newt, 1 betta and 2 goldfish!

Life always continues

I told Gracie last night that Donkey died, she was upset maybe about 2 min and then I told her how I moved Shrek into the little tank, and with that eyes light up and she says, "oh we can get a turtle now" lol

No turtle yet, we're going to get fish for the tank. Then in October there is going to be reptile show by my house, so we will go there and get a turtle. So, that's my game plan as of now. I have a list of a bunch of different fish we may or maynot get tonight! lol Just depends, I figured in a 20 gal tank i could probably do 10 that would fit comfortably.

Anyway, that's what we've decided to do, and it'll be freshwater not saltwater. Those take a lot of time and patience and too much work for me! I want something I can throw food at and be done.

So, speaking of Shrek from before, he took a POOP!!!! that is just a great thing to me!!! That means he ate either is live work or frozen worms. Not sure which one, don't really care, long as he's eating, we're all okay!!!! So, i'm hoping I go home to find more poops in the tank!!! That would be wondeful!!!

RIP Donkey

Well, this weekend Donkey passed away! I'd had him less than a week. I feel really bad, but I'm thinking with no foot he was sick and it's probably best. So, I moved Shrek into a new tank with clean water and hopefully he will survive. I have the tank wrapped in a towel to keep it dark to help de-stress him.

So, now I have a 20gal tank open again! So, maybe we'll get a turtle. I i'm researching turtles to see what the best kind is to get. I'm not sure if I want a water or land. I'm thinking water, cause I hate dealing with all that moss and crap you have to put in the tank. So we'll see. I have to get the shop-vac and clean out the tank and wash it all out. For a turtle i'll need basking lights/basking docks/ another new filter/possible heater. So, here's another 100.00 of crap! lol

Anyway, we'll see what happens.

Here's Donkey

Here's poor little Donkey, I didn't realize till I took the pic he has no foot! Poor thing. The sad part is, he probably won't survie or Shrek. They are really stressed out from the flight and haven't eaten, and pretty lethargic. I'm hoping today they perk up a little bit and will be hungry to eat. So, we'll see, if they survive a week then I think we'll do okay. But they are so friggen adorable!!!!

See I told you I sucked at blogging! lol Well, this weekend I spent breaking down the frog house and cleaning everything, the same with the gold fish tank. Then on Monday Gracie and I were going to go out and order our Newts, well it's not as easy at is sounds. Petco no longer can order them. Who knows why! Anyway, Gracie was devestated, she's crying, she wants her "lizards" so, I said well lets look around maybe we can find something else.

Well, after saying no to a turtle, rat, guinnia pig, hamster, gerbil and a bird, we settled on a betta fish! A fish called Ed! lol Nice huh?

So then Linda here at work, yes the one that drives me nuts, gave me a 20gal tank stand and tank and all accessories!!!! So, i'm thinking that's where the newts will go and my 10gal will be made into an aquarium!

So, today, i've called about 10 different stores, and I found 2 stores that might have the FBN's in on Thursday or Friday I have to call back!!!! I also found 2 websites that will ship them to me, but hell that's 50.00!!!! So, i'll wait and see what happens!

Oh I also got a good deal this weekend when I found a table to hold my 55gal tank!!! 20.00 !!! I was really excited over that! I'll post pics later!!!!!!

New Decorations

Well, Gracie was bugging me every time we go to the pet store to buy this skeleton decoration. She wants the frogs to be scared like it's Halloween! lol So anyway, I finally gave in yesterday and bought it, this is a pic of the decoration, I'm trying to get an actual pic of it in the tank, but my flash keeps bouncing off the tank and giving a bad pic.

Anyway, little bubbles come out of the toilet, which is cute, well what's really funny is the damn frogs sit on the skeleton's lap and have the bubbles come out from under it. They have been all over this poor little guy, sitting on his head, lap, on the toilet paper! It's so funny! I decided since I keep getting a crap picture, i'm going to set up my camera on the tripod and take a video clip of the frogs laying on the skeleton! lol So that's been my exciting weekend, watching the tank again! lol

I suck

i truly suck at blogging! lol I really don't think of blogging, and when I do i'm usually too tired to do anything! So, this week i'm researching Fire Belly Newts. Gracie would like one for her birthday she told me this week, so I found a Petco that will order them for me when i'm ready, so in a few weeks. I first need to get my tank ready. I won't be housing them with the FBT's, the newts will go in their own cage. They will use the small 10gal tank. I also want to get my tank stand before I do this also, this way the 55gal and 10 gal will be on a stand!

The nice thing about the FBN's are they basically need the same set up as the frogs, so that won't be hard to do and they also can eat crickets! which is even better!! I'm really liking my reptile house that i have going on here! lol So, anyway, in a few weeks i'll probably be ready for my new roommates and hopefully they won't die cause they are not that easy to get! lol

Okay, i've done my blog for the day! I'll try to keep it up! lol

Happy Hump Day

Well, I sure can't wait to get this week over with! I truly believe when you have a day off during the week it makes the week go by even longer! I'm glad to have a 3 day weekend coming up, but still i'm exhausted!

So, i'm thinking of getting Gracie 2 tadpoles, so she can see them morph and turn into frogs! I think that would be so cool! So, i'm looking up information on the care of tadpoles so I know how to care for them so they don't die and so that they do morph! Hopefully this weekend we can look into doing that. I really need to get myself a tank stand more than anything, I found one that I like it holds the 55 gal on top and it can store 2 10gal tanks on the bottom also. So, i'm looking into that one.

My house is becoming a little Sea World, which is exciting and it is giving me something to do with my time anyway!

Welcome To Sea World

Well, it's been another busy weekend. Think the time just slips right by me sometimes. So, Gracie came over yesterday, had to feed the frogs. Since she was on vacation all week she was dying to come over. Then on Sunday she got in her mind we were going fish shopping. When I changed out the 10 gal to the 55 gal, i had told her we would put fish in the other tank. I said we'll do it later, well it has been stuck in her head forever. So this morning she just wasn't going to leave me alone about it.

So, off to petsmart we went. For 20.00 you can get a Nemo tank, it has a filter, decor, light, food, and dechlorinate solution with it. Not a bad deal, it would cost me more to get my 10 gal tank in order. So, we bought the tank and 2 goldfish. I really don't want anything high maintenance right now, nor spend a lot of money on fish, when I'm going to get the 10gal set up.

Anyway, little by little we are adding more to our aquatic life here! lol I posted a pic of our new tank, you really can't see the fish but they are in there. 1 orange 1 white. The orange is Flounder and the white one is the Flowergirl. Gracie named them, not me! lol

FRIDAY - WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't think this week would ever end! Naturally today has got to be the longest day of my life! The last 2 hours of work, I feel like time has stood still! It's horrible! I've literally have searched the interet, played, and have done nothing for like 2 hrs now. It is such a slow day and I know the minute I would try to leave early that's when Bob would call and need something! lol

I just want to get out of here, not sure why thought it is so friggen hot out!

Anyway, hope everyone havs a great weekend!

FRUSTRATED

Okay, I truly think i'm an easy person to get along with on a work relationship. I normally don't have issues and we know we are not always going to like our co-workers. Okay, Linda is on my last friggen nerves really really bad. Like I want to beotch slap her that's how much she is pissing me off!

She is either slamming the phone all day, making sighs so damn loud it's annoying and does it all day and is just down right rude to people. I hate working like this. If there is any reason for me to quit my job and work 2 jobs to make this kind of money, she will be the one!

She gets pissed if the phone rings, the doorbell rings, if i talk on the phone, or god forbid another employee come and talk to me. See we share 1 open area. Our desks are apart from eachother so we are next to each other all day! ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG she really can ruin a person's day! So now i go home for lunch everyday cause i feel i need that hour away from her or i will slap her! But who wants to do that with gas so expensive, and yes i live only about 10 min away, it's not the point.

Okay, i'm done venting. She went out and ran an errand. i hope she gets a flat tire and can't come back! lol

Trying to blog more

I think it's hard to blog. I'm not a "diary" person. It's hard for me to come on and talk about basically nothing other than my frogs! lol I have no kids, husband, life lol so I have nothing that interesting to talk about. I could talk about my work, but who cares about that! haha!

I will say though, i'm jealous of my friends who are getting new teacher positions for the next school year and I know I won't be in the classroom. Some days I feel like I made a deal with the Devil to work here, and then other days I feel like it's all worth it. I do know if I go back to teaching in the fall/spring I will need to work a 2nd job to keep all that I have. I don't want to work 2 jobs again! I did that last fall, teaching all day then trying to work nights and weekends. I was exhausted all the damn time.

I'm a big believer everything happens for a reason, and I know that I came back to this job so I can buy my condo and be on my own again, but I also feel like I sacrafice being happy for a job. I truly am so friggen bored at my job I think sticking needles in my eyes would be much better.

I think if the perks were actually given to me like I was told ie travel, I wouldn't be so bored at work. I hate being in an office, I hate being tied to a desk, and I feel like I offer nothing. It's not rocket scientist work to type a letter. A friggen monkey could do that. Im not making a difference in this world by sitting here. In a classroom i'd be making a difference in the eyes of a child.

Maybe i'm just having a pity party today since I just heard the news of friends getting new schools to teach in. I know i'm here for some reason, it'll come to me eventually. For now i'll just have to be jealous and envious of everyone else.

I just feel all my hard work on going back to school to get my degree, all the pressure and the stress was all for nothing now, as I sit in this office next to a co-worker who I truly want to kick the shit out of! If they allowed violence in the workplace I would kick her in the head everyday! lol

Okay, I'm outta here. I already feel my blood pressure rising! lol

Monday, Monday

Well, it's been a long weekend. I'm so glad to have frogs back into the house, i'll be even happier when I start to hear them sing. The fact that it's been 2 days and there's been no singing nor humping, I might have all the same sex frogs! I was checking their feet yesterday, I'm thinking I may have 2 males and 4 females, or 4 males and 2 females, or just 6 females! So, i'll have to wait and see what happens.

I think with the last group of frogs it was about 2-5 days before they started their singing. So hopefully they are just being shy. This morning when I got up, one of them was on the lizard lounge in the corner and trying to jump up to the top of the tree it was so funny, then it just kept stretching! omg they are pretty long! lol

Anyway, i'm glad I have them back again, makes my house feel more complete that I have something to take care off! Hopefully they'll all survive! haha!

Showing of the new additions

Well it was a big weekend here for my house! The new tank is here, and the new set up is in place. I had try to make a wet/dry tank where it was 50/50 but my retaining wall sure didn't retain anything! lol I don't think I had enough rocks, so now the entire tank is filled with water, but ti's all good. Gives the frogs plenty of spece to play around. It's actually funny to watch them with there being so much room now. I have like a bubble maker thing which one of the frogs lays over, I'm thinking it likes the feeling of the bubbles on its underside! haha!

So, I have 6 new additions to the family, the only ones I can determine who they are right now is Bert and Ernie cause they are brown. The other 4 frogs are green and they are Snow White (Gracie forgets and calls it snowball) then there is Skip, Nemo and Rocky. Eventully I'll get their traits down and figure out who is who.

Anyway, hopefully i'll have better luck with this group!!! Enjoy the pics!!!!!

Black Monday

Well, it truly was a rough weekend. As of this morning, Sarah has passed away. I feel really bad, I did talk to Gracie yesterday about it, but she didn't really understand what death really means, she was just more interested if we were going to get new ones and can she pick out new names! lol I think I took it harder than her on thinking about telling her!

So, this week I will bleach out the tank and clean it really good. I'm getting a new tank anyway, I believe it's 50 gallons. My cousin has one and she said I can have it, I will need to get more rocks, and plants since it's bigger, but i'm very excited! I'm hoping to pick it up mid week so by the weekend I can go get our new family of frogs!

I still have a tank full or crickets, which I have no idea how i'll get out yet without them escaping into my house! So I have that to deal with still! arghhhhhhhhhhhh

Anyway, I feel bad for all the little froggies. :-(

Rest In Peace

I had a very sad day today. Sister and Annie have passed away. I'm not sure what happened or why. They were up and jumping this morning, I came back a few hours later and they were dead. I just feel horrible. I'm not sure if i'm going to tell Gracie, or if I should just replace them and not tell her.

I think i'll sleep on it tonight and decide in the morning. I'm going to empty the tank and clean it in the morning before I bring in any new ones for sure and make a decision. Anyway, it was a really sad evening to find that. I hope Mom and Sarah make it and nothing is wrong with all of them.

Very Exciting Night

OMG what an exciting night!!!! So I was reading up on fire bellied toads on line today and I found there is a way to determine the sex of the frogs. They say you can tell by the back feet. So, if what they say is right, then Sarah and Sister are males, and mom and Annie are the females! So i'm pretty pschyed about that!!! Hopefully they start having babies soon!!!!!!

So then I thought sister was having seizure when I came home. She was all spastic and just doing wierd things. WELL, as I took my normal seat to stare, I realized she was puffing herself up to shed her skin!!! Just like snakes do!!! OMG it was really cool, and gross!!! I mean, she was really huge and then kind of pulling at her skin! Then was eating it! lol okay that part is a little gross but it was just reallly cool!!!

Then over the weekend I bought a light, well, not realizing the plastic on top, yep, melted some of it! So i'll have to rig it a different way! lol

Anyway, exciting night at the Frog house!!!!

I'm such an idiot

Okay, I actually had a really long post like 2 days ago, and accidently deleted before saving I guess, not really sure. So, now it's time to catch up on things. So, last night Gracie and I fed the frogs, and I was looking at them and Sarah just seemed to be brown looking not green. So I was a little worried, so I told Gracie no big deal, now she's going brown.

So, last night I did some searching on the net and found that if green frog turns brown it might be sick/cold or dying! So, now i'm freaking out! I have no light on the tank, just keep forgetting to get one! Anyway, so I go get my clip on light from my bedroom and clip it onto the table that tank is sitting on, and put the light right in the tank. Figuring they might be cold, I don't know. Well, let me tell you, under that spot light, um Sarah is Green! LMAO! It must have been the lighting in my living room that made it look brown, cause she is as green as could be! lmao!

I think they did like the warmth from the light, but I'll need to go buy a real tank light so that's what i'll be doing this weekend. OMG it was so funny last night when I seen it was green! Here I was already planning poor Sarah's funeral, and thinking crap, where will I get another green frog! lmao!

So Glad it's Friday!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so friggen happy today is Friday! Even though it was a 4 day work week, felt like forever! Today has been extremely slow at work, but i've at least caught up on things I had been putting off!

Frog life has been good! They are all getting along very well, I was wondering how feeding would go now that there's 4 fighting for food, but it actually went really well. They all got their crickets so it was a good thing! They all have been hanging out in the plant all together which I just think is so cute! lol

I still need to get a light for on top of the tank for in the evening so it's not so dark, and I still need a backdrop so I can take the little one down! It is funny to see them jump at it though! Maybe this weekend I will find time to do that!

Anyway, i'm off to get a few more things done and hopefully I can take off early!!!!

Okay, so i've added the pics of my new additions! Sarah as i've said is the only green frog in the tank! Mom is a little on the small side. They have been really active tonight since i've been home, lots of sex!!!!! Soon as I get up close they back away! lol So, I need to get a light to put on top of the tank so I can see better and get better pictures!!!! They sure have brought me lots of enjoyment! Who would have thunk it? Anyway, i'm off to bed, be back tomorrow!!!!

New Additions to the Family

Well, we now have 2 more additions to the frog home. We now have "Mom" and "Sarah". I'll be posting their pics later tonight. They are a little camera shy, or they just aren't used to my big head in the tank snapping pics. So, Gracie and I get the frogs in the tank, and instantly they do a group orgy, while Gracie is saying, awww they hugging! LMAO! Because I still had the lid off, I couldn't snap a pic! Now, i've not seen all 4 of them at it since! Well, the interesting thing is Sarah is Green! So that's easy to be able to tell her apart, and Mom is really tiny, so i'm thinking she's pretty young. Seeing since i'm the frog expert all of a sudden! lmao! So, it was interesting watching them all interact with eachother. Sister was kind of mean and almost like drowning the new ones! She wasn't attaching herself to them, she was more getting on their heads and pushing them under the water! lol

I'm very confused now at who is male/female, they are all on eachother! Gracie wants 5 more frogs to add to our family and I told her we are done now for awhile! I said no more frogs, I need a bigger tank. So now she thinks we are going to buy a bigger tank! lol Um no! At least not yet! lol How crazy am I that I can tell the difference between the 3 brown frogs! Annie has the marks on her neck, Sister is really fat, and Mom is thin! LMAO! Seriously, i'm losing it!

Who would have thought I would invest this much time into these damn things! Then yesterday both petstores I went too had no crickets! So, now they are going to have to wait till Friday, cause nobody will have any until tomorrow or Friday and i'm not driving to 100 places just for crickets! lol They will survive!

I do have to say though, I feel my home is nicer than where the frogs came out of! I bought Mom and Sister at petsmart, and now for most of you that have been in there, i'm not sure what size tanks all those fish are in, probably 10gal? anyway, they had it 90% water - very little dry land, and there had to be 20 frogs in the tank! There was no floating things for them to lay on either! So it makes me sad that they are all thrown in like that! Then at Petco, they are in a 20 gal tank, and they have like 20 frogs and a bowl of water! It's not a big bowl either! It just surprises me how they just don't seem to take real good care of the reptiles.

Anyway, now i'm becoming a friggen frog advocate! I'm losing it! lol Anyway, i'll post pics later!

Back again

I feel bad that i've not been here for a few days, but i've not felt good so that keeps me away. Anyway, a few days ago, both of my nieces were here and they decided to play "frogs" and they were playing horseback riding! ROFLMAO! OMG it was so friggen funny, so yes, I took a pic an posted it here! lol

Tomorrow is a big day for the frog house, we are getting 2 new additions! Gracie has been bugging me for 2 new froggies, so that's what we will do, cause I'll do whatever she wants! LMAO! I'm even going to splurge for a background! lol So, some of you will quit laughing at me!

Now, I can't tell you the new names, you'll have to wait till tomorrow!! Big surprise!!!!! Gracie has already picked them out! So anyway, other than that, there's not much excitement going on. Just wanted to say hello here and this week I will work better on posting!!!

Lot of Action Here

I have to get into the habit of posting everyday! lol I tend to forget that I have this blog! So, what's new on the frog diaries, well, I've posted a pic of the tank they live in. Don't laugh at the pic of the background on the tank, it fit the previous tank, and i've not gone back to the petstore to buy a new one! lol SO it's a little small.

So today the frogs have been singing a lot! And they are really crazy horny! I think Sister is the male and Annie is the female only cause Sister's belly is getting big, but I don't think they actually get a pg belly, so then my other thought is she's just a friggen pig that eats all the crickets and Annie doesn't get any! lol I'll have to pay more attention when they are having sex to see who is on top and who is on bottom!

Annie is acting wierd though, she's all over the tank today, on top of the plant, diving under the water and under the rock. Sister just sits and watches, it's wierd! lol I also see that Sister doesn't mind my hand in the tank where Annie goes friggen crazy! Okay, yes at this point, you can say i'm crazy and am spending wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to much time in front of the tank! lol

I have horrible frog addiction! I'm wondering maybe there's a support group for people like me? lol Anyway, that's what's going on over in my life, i'd like to set up the tripod with my camera on it to catch them in the act so I can really examine this whole mating thing! lol They don't really like when I'm right up against the tank staring! lol

Anyway, i'll figure it out! Keep coming back, you just never know what i'll show! lol

Real Pics of Annie and Sister

Okay, here we go again. Now i've posted some of my pics of my frogs, as you may noticed I took individual portraits of the frogs, and then I have some porn, and then a pic of how relaxed they are after they are done having sex, all we're missing is a cigarette from the pic! lol

So, tonight I've been hearing a lot of the mating noises, but they haven't been too active, and I would know seeing since my face is constantly in the tank! lol

It gives me something to do at least now that i'm living on my own again. I need something to do! lol

In the beginning.....

Okay, so you might be asking why I am blogging, or why the frogs? This is my story, and i'm sticking too it. My neice who is 3 has a stuffed frog that I gave her a few months ago, she's now addicted to frog, we talk to frog, have to hug frog, show frog how much we love him. We kind of hate frog, lol so I thought it would be really cool for her to have a frog. Little did I know the work that is involved. So, I went and bought a Oriental Fire Bellied Frog. Real cute, (pics coming soon). So I have a cute little habitat, and we are just this cute frog family now. Well, frog who's name is Annie, stinks pretty bad. I've also been reading that they need a mate, so I go and get a 2nd smelly frog, and now his name is Sister. ( I don't pick the names, my neice does! lol) So, with 2 frogs I get a little bigger of a tank, but then went through this whole smelling problem. So, I get a 3rd tank! lol Which is now a 10 gal tank, put some stone in it, have a filter, we are living the high life.

Okay, so the tank is all set up, the first time I fed it crickets I became a frog stalker and I can admit it. I was glued to the front of the tank for about 2 hrs! lol I was amazed at how they eat the crickets, cause if you didn't know, they don't have the long tongues that grab the crickets, they actually have to pounce on them and eat them whole, it really sounds nasty, but watching it is really cool!

So now it comes to mating, oh i'm becoming the expert on the sexual orientation and reproduction on frogs! So first of all, frogs do not have penis's! Cool huh? So, basically what happens during mating is the male frog tends to clasp the female underneath in an embrace, now in frog world they call it "amplexus" in my world, she's getting it up the ass. He literally climbs on her back and reaches his arms around her waist and can stay like that for several days!

Now the mail fertalizes externally, so what happens is, the male fertalizes the eggs as they are laid! If you have more than 1 male in a tank with a female, they all may take turns fertalizing the eggs, which now the female frog has become a slut with many froglets with many fathers! I'm hoping to be able to breed these frogs at some point.

Okay, so, I come home from work the other day and guess what they are doing??? Yes, they are having sex!!!!!!!! OMG I was so flippin excited cause i'd never seen this before, so I took pics! lol Yes, honestly I did! Now, they say you know if you have a male and female if they female allows the male to stay on her back for a period of time, well they were attached for quite some time. So, the next day my neice comes over to see her frogs and they are attached to each other, so how do you explain to a 3 yr. old what they are doing? Well, I have the answer, you tell her that they are playing horse back riding! I said you know how your brother will carry you on his back sometimes, that's what they are doing! So, then she's laughing, yelling get off me frog get off me, and she's shaking her body as if she is the bottom frog. Quite humorous I have to say.

So, it's become an addiction, I watch the tank for hours, i'm a peeping tom taking pics of frog porn and just loving it! lol So that is how I started this blog, after some of my very good friends convinced me to do this! So, anyway, that's my story and i'm sticking to it! lol

First Timer
